The clock is ticking on an unclaimed $100,000 lottery prize in Henrico County.
The Virginia Lottery says the prize-winning ticket for the March 26 Cash 5 day drawing will be worthless if the owner fails to cash it in by 5 p.m. Sept. 24.
The ticket was sold at the Happy Shopper convenience store in suburban Richmond. By law, winning tickets in Virginia expire 180 days after the drawing.
The winning numbers for the March 26 drawing were 8-19-23-28-31. The ticket matched all five numbers.
Unclaimed Virginia Lottery prize money goes to the Literary Fund. The Literary Fund has received more than $222 million in unclaimed prizes since the Lottery began in 1988.
