Suspect Arrested in Augusta County Abduction

Investigators in Augusta County say a man who abducted a teenage girl from her home in Greenville has been arrested.

Deputies say 33-year-old Patrick Henderson took 16-year-old Kimberly Cleveland from her home at about 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Cleveland was staying at the home with her grandmother, and deputies say Henderson pushed the grandmother to the ground to get to the girl.

Deputies say Cleveland and Henderson had an ongoing relationship, and the County had already tried to stop him from approaching her.

Henderson was last seen heading South on Route 11 in Greenville. Police have no record of him owning a vehicle.

Henderson and Cleveland were found shortly after Midnight Wednesday morning. Police say Cleveland is safe. Henderson has been arrested and is in police custody.

Henderson is wanted on the following charges: Abduction, Breaking and Entering with intent to Assault and Batter, Two counts of Assault and Battery, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
