Police Investigate Possible Drowning of Va. Woman

August 30, 2010

A Front Royal woman has died following an incident in a pool Friday. The Front Royal Police Department says 47-year-old Susan J. Ludwick-Armentrout died Monday.

Police responded to a possible drowning on Salem Avenue just before 9 p.m. Friday and found Ludwick-Armentrout being held at the side of the pool by another woman.

That woman had found Ludwick-Armentrout unconscious in the water. She was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital and then flown to Fairfax where she later died.

Police say they are investigating the incident but no foul play is suspected at this time.
