Rescue authorities have found a 20-year-old hiker who fell off a ten-foot cliff in Roanoke County and was unable to find his way back to his car.
County officials said the man was found about 10 a.m. Monday in Montgomery County. Rescue crews used helicopters and tracking dogs to find him after he reported that he was lost Sunday on Poor Mountain after falling and suffering minor cuts.
County officials said Monday that the man was hiking Sunday on Poor Mountain when he reported falling and suffering minor cuts. He wasn't able to tell dispatchers where he was, and apparently kept walking, making it harder for crews to find him.
County spokeswoman Jennifer Sexton says crews plan to transport him to a local hospital for examination.
