Va. Man Charged for Wife's Murder

September 20, 2010

A Leesburg man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a home Saturday night for a report of a person injured during a fall. Fifty-nine-year-old Catherine Combs-Lafleur was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say her injuries were consistent with an assault. After an investigation, her husband, 61-year-old Steven Combs-Lafleur, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Combs-Lafleur is being held without bond.
