15-year-old Boy Arrested in Augusta County Shooting

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says a 15-year-old has been charged following a shooting Monday night. The shooting occurred on the 200 block of Gravel Ridge Road near Waynesboro around 11:30 p.m.

The teenager, who lives in the area of the shooting, has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

A 50-year-old man suffered three gunshots wounds and was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center. As of 7am Tuesday, the victim is still at UVa. in critical but stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
