A Virginia Beach high school teacher faces charges of selling marijuana and other drug-related violations.
Virginia Beach police said Monday that 59-year-old Kellam High School teacher Darcy Mahler was arrested last week at her home after detectives delivered a package to her home. They then executed a search warrant and seized several pounds of marijuana.
Officers also arrested two others at Mahler's home. All three are charged with the sale and distribution of marijuana, transporting of controlled substances and conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.
Virginia Beach school officials tell "The Virginian-Pilot" that Mahler has been employed by the school system since September 1987. She's been suspended without pay.
