150 Acres of Forestland in Va. County Protected

February 1, 2011

More than 150 acres of forestland in Campbell County will be protected from future development under easements granted by the properties' owners.

The Virginia Department of Forestry says Janice Coleman granted a working forest conservation easement for 66 acres outside Rustburg. Another easement granted by Bobby Kibler is for 92 acres along the Bedford-Campbell county line.

Coleman told The News & Advance that she wants to preserve the land so it can't be subdivided and developed.
