2 Arrested for Va. Stabbing, Assault

November 17, 2010

The Loudoun County sheriff's office says two men have been charged in an assault and stabbing outside a convenience store in Sterling.

Police say Manuel Rivera of Herndon and Christopher Bryant of Sterling were charged in the assault of a 20-year-old man from Ashburn and a 17-year-old boy from Sterling on Friday night.

A sheriff's department spokesman says the victims were approached by several men as they left a convenience store and returned to their car. He says the group assaulted the victims and stabbed the 17-year-old.

Troxell says the older victim took the teenager to a hospital, where police were called.

Twenty-six-year-old Rivera and 21-year-old Bryant were being held without bond Monday at the Loudoun jail. They face misdemeanor and felony assault charges.
