2 Motorcyclists Killed in Separate Crashes on Same Va. Road

Prince William County police say two motorcyclists were killed in separate crashes on the same road over the weekend.

Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, says the first collision occurred on Joplin Road at Park Headquarters Road in Triangle about 10 a.m. Saturday. Police say the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second fatal crash occurred on Joplin Road near Arden Road in Manassas about 7 p.m. Sunday. Police say a motorcycle crashed into a vehicle. Authorities say that motorcyclist also was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identities of the victims have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
