Seven people have pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine and other drugs in southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee.
U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Heaphy says the defendants entered their pleas Monday in federal court in Abingdon. Two also pleaded guilty to weapons charges.
Heaphy says the defendants distributed cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription drugs in Scott County, Va.., and Sullivan County, Tenn. from around 2007 to this year.
Four defendants are from Gate City, Va., and the others are from Kingsport, Tenn.
