UPDATE: Belongings of Missing VCU Exchange Student Found

March 25, 2010

Virginia Commonwealth University police say personal items belonging to a missing British exchange student have been found along the James River in Richmond.

VCU Police Chief John Venuti says a resident found the items Wednesday near a downtown development. He declined to specify what items were found.

Venuti says police are continuing to search for Jonathan Dorey and his bicycle.

Dorey was reported missing March 4. VCU police say foul play isn't suspected.

The 22-year-old exchange student from the University of the West of England is 6 feet tall, has brown hair and weighs between 180 and 200. He wears glasses.
