Prince William County police say a 12-year-old boy brought an unloaded handgun to school Monday and pointed it at his head before a teacher took it away.
Police were called to Potomac Middle School shortly before 8 a.m. Monday. They say the boy showed the gun to other students at the bus stop. He and the other students rode the bus to school, and when they got off, he pulled the gun out from his pocket and pointed it at his head.
A teacher took the gun away and brought the boy to the office.
Police say the boy will be charged with possession of a weapon on school property.
