Computer Company to Bring 160 Jobs to Va. City

An information technology company is bringing 160 jobs to Danville.

Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Tuesday that EcomNets will invest $1.94 million in the Southside city.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Danville officials to land the company.

Virginia Democratic Sen. Jim Webb said he helped connect the northern Virginia company with Danville officials.

EcomNets will produce Verdio PCs, energy-efficient computers constructed from recyclable materials.
