Harrington to be Remembered at Roanoke Rally

April 20, 2010

Morgan Harrington will be honored at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences' Take Back the Night rally in Roanoke Tuesday night.

Gil Harrington, Morgan's mother, will speak at the event.

The purpose of this rally is to bring the community together to protest violence against women and to promote awareness of attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that perpetuate that violence. The event raises awareness of violence against women, shares resources available locally and gives individuals tools to help create positive change.

Morgan Harrington, a Virginia Tech student, disappeared in October after a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones Arena. Her body was found in January at a farm in Albemarle County. The investigation into her death continues.
