Gov. Bob McDonnell has set June 15 as the dates for special elections to fill two House of Delegates seats.
The special elections will fill vacancies created by the appointment of Delegates Matt Lohr and Sam Nixon to posts in McDonnell's administration.
Lohr was named commissioner of agriculture and Nixon was
appointed to be the state's chief information officer. Nixon represented the House's 27th District, which consists of parts of Chesterfield County.
Lohr represented the 26th, which covers Harrisonburg and the northern portions of Rockingham County.
