Branch Hits Power Line, Va. Worker Electrocuted

The state is investigating the death of a tree-service worker who was electrocuted when a branch he was trimming hit a power line.

Henrico County police say the accident occurred Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Timbercrest Lane. The victim's name hasn't been released pending notification of relatives.

Lt. Eric Owens says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Owens says the man was employed by Williams Landscaping and Tree Service in Madison.

The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry is investigating the accident.
