Colonial Downs Seeks New Satellite Betting Site

April 27, 2010

Colonial Downs is seeking state approval to open another off-track betting center. The betting center would be located in a restaurant in the Richmond area.

The Virginia Racing Commission is scheduled to consider the horse track's request Tuesday.

Racing Commission Executive Secretary Vic Harrison says the proposed center would be Colonial Downs' ninth satellite wagering location.

If the betting center is approved, Colonial Downs marketing director Darrell Wood says it would open Wednesday.
