Teen Convicted in Va. Beach Home Invasion

May 12, 2010

A jury has recommended a life sentence for a Virginia Beach man convicted for his role in a 2008 home invasion.

Nineteen-year-old Antwone L. Jackson was found guilty Tuesday of all 34 counts that included robbery, rape, aggravated malicious wounding and forcible sodomy.

Police say Jackson and other defendants planned to rob a drug dealer but ended up in the wrong apartment. Prosecutors say 10 people were celebrating graduation from automotive school when the gunmen arrived.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 8.
