Man Accused of Shooting Va. Good Samaritan Arrested

May 20, 2010

A man accused of shooting a Good Samaritan who foiled a robbery at a Caroline County truck stop has been arrested in Richmond.

Caroline County Sheriff Tony Lippa says 31-year-old Warren Harold Brown was charged Wednesday night with attempted capital murder, aggravated malicious wounding, attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police have said a man tried to rob a Mr. Fuel in Carmel Church on May 8. A customer walked to the rear of the store, got two beer bottles and struck the suspect in the back of the head.

The customer struggled with the suspect, who in turn shot him several times. The customer didn't suffer life-threatening injuries.
