May 21, 2010

A Virginia couple facing state charges in West Virginia of killing three family members have been charged in federal court with one of the deaths.

A federal grand jury in Harrisonburg indicted 34-year-old Lorie Taylor and 34-year-old Nakia Keller on Thursday. The Fulks Run couple are charged with traveling from Virginia to West Virginia on Oct. 23, 2009, to kill Taylor's ex-husband, 36-year-old Dennis "Chip" Taylor.

The bodies of Dennis Taylor, his 38-year-old wife, Alaina Taylor, and her 5-year-old daughter, Kaylee Grace Whetzel, were discovered inside their burned home in Mathias, W.Va. Police say all three victims had been shot.

Lorie Taylor and Keller are both being held in West Virginia on state murder and arson charges.
