Fairfax County police are trying to determine what caused a crash that killed a bicyclist and the driver of an SUV.
It happened late Friday afternoon on Lee Highway. Police say a 31-year-old Manassas man was driving northbound when his SUV crossed the median and veered to the left across six lanes onto a bicycle path.
A 17-year-old Fairfax boy on a bicycle was struck from behind. The SUV then struck a tree.
Police are trying to determine whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
