Police say nine people were killed over a violent Memorial Day weekend in Baltimore.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goo-LEE'-ehl-mee) says eight of those people were fatally wounded in 11 shootings since Friday and one person was stabbed.
The most recent shooting occurred around early Tuesday on Fulton Street. Guglielmi says the victim found with gunshot wounds was pronounced dead on the scene. Guglielmi says the department is responding with extra patrols, special deployments of plainclothes officers, and additional homicide detectives.
He says most of the shootings appear to be related to drug activity, while one of them appeared to be a domestic dispute.
