Va. Man Accused of Killing Kitten over Video Game

June 2, 2010

A Staunton man faces charges of killing a kitten because it disconnected his video game.

Staunton police charged 21-year-old Bruce Jamar Walston with misdemeanor animal cruelty and disorderly conduct Monday night.

Police say Walston's girlfriend called 911 and reported that he threw her kitten against a wall after the animal disconnected his game.

Office Lisa Klein says the incident occurred in front of the woman's children.

A telephone listing for Walston in Staunton could not be found.
