The Virginia Supreme Court will review the case of a Caroline County woman convicted of killing her husband, a first sergeant in the state police.
The court hears oral arguments in Donna Blanton's appeal Wednesday.
The 45-year-old Blanton is serving a life term for the 2003 slaying of Taylor Blanton. She claimed her husband was killed by an intruder.
Blanton was convicted in 2005, but won an appeal based on improper jury selection. Her second trial was moved from Caroline County to Virginia Beach because of extensive local news coverage, and she was convicted again.
