Police have identified a CSX employee who was hit and killed by a train as he was inspecting another train in a rail yard in Hanover County.
Hanover sheriff's Capt. Michael J. Trice says a northbound train hit 54-year-old Marshall W. Conner of Spring Grove on Thursday as he walked in a narrow lane alongside a parked train and inspected its brakes.
Trice says the northbound train blew its horn as it traveled through the rail yard. The 37-car train was hauling orange juice to Philadelphia when the accident occurred.
