Royal Caribbean International has ended its run of cruises based out of Norfolk. The company's last roundtrip cruise left the city on Saturday.

The ship Enchantment of the Seas will now be based out of
Baltimore. Company spokesman Harrison Liu says Baltimore offers a year-round demand for passengers.

Miami-based Royal Caribbean has sailed from Norfolk since 2007.

Maryland Port Administration spokesman Richard Scher says Baltimore's cruise terminal is within a two-hour drive of several major airports and located in a large population area.
