Shenandoah National Park will offer free admission on Saturday for residents of the eight counties bordering the park as part of Neighbor Appreciation Day.
Additionally, the Shenandoah National Park Association is offering a 20 percent discount on purchases in its SNP bookstores.
To take advantage of the offers, residents must show their driver's license. The qualifying counties are Albemarle, Greene, Madison, page, Augusta, Rockingham, Warren and Rappahannock.
This is the third-annual Neighbor Appreciation Day, which began at the suggestion of the Blue Ridge Committee for Shenandoah National Park Relations.
