Va. Woman's Body Recovered from River

July 6, 2010

A Virginia State Police dive team has recovered the body of a woman who was riding in a boat that hit a channel marker on the Rappahannock River.

Authorities say the body of 25-year-old Amanda Brady of Richmond was found Tuesday morning near the site of the Sunday night crash.

The Coast Guard says the 11 other people aboard the 25-foot pleasure craft were injured when the boat hit the piling near Water View. Coast Guard Lt. Jack Smith says the boat's operator and an 11-year-old boy were in critical condition.
