9 Va. Schools Receive National Blue Ribbon Award

Nine Virginia schools have been recognized as Blue Ribbon Schools. The Virginia schools are among more than 300 nationwide to receive the award.

The Blue Ribbon program recognizes elementary, middle and high schools that have high student achievement and those that raise the achievement of disadvantaged and minority students.

Virginia's winners are Bellevue Elementary School in Richmond, Cleveland Elementary School in Russell County, Eureka Elementary School in Charlotte County, Grafton Bethel Elementary School in Yorktown, Highland High in Highland County, Lincoln Elementary School in Loudoun County, Patrick Springs Primary School in Patrick County, St. Ambrose Catholic School in Annandale and St. Theresa School in Ashburn.
