Columbia Town Council to Vote to Disincorporate the Town

Aug. 19, 2014

It is a big night in the Town of Columbia in Fluvanna County.

Columbia's town council is voting to decide whether or not to disincorporate the town.

If they decide to do so, then the decision will appear on the November election as a referendum. If passed, the town would be absorbed into Fluvanna Co.

The vote comes following a big loss in population over the years for the area.

Tuesday night’s vote starts at 7 p.m.
