Federal regulators say Dominion Virginia Power's two nuclear power plants operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety in 2013.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) said it sent year-end inspection letters for Dominion's North Anna and Surry nuclear power stations.
Both plants met all cornerstone goals for last year, and their performances were within the expected range.
Officials plan to hold a public meeting this spring and summer in the vicinity of each plant to discuss the details of annual assessment results.
