Filming for the "Transformers 3" movie is expected to close roads in Washington and Arlington in the week ahead.
Beginning Monday, roads surrounding the U.S. Air Force Memorial in Arlington will be closed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Lanes of Columbia Pike will be shut down periodically. Police say pedestrians should avoid the area.
On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, streets will be closed near the U.S. Capitol, including 3rd and 4th streets between Constitution and Independence avenues.
Officials say filming near the Capitol will include pyrotechnics.
The filming also will lead to parking restrictions in parts of downtown Washington between Monday and Thursday.
