COLONIAL BEACH, Va. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a fire that damaged a former school in Colonial Beach.

Westmoreland County Sheriff C.O. Balderson tells The Free Lance-Star that the fire was reported at Colonial Beach Elementary School shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday.

No injuries were reported.

The newspaper says the building was condemned after the earthquake in 2011 and was being used for storage.

Two other buildings and several trailers used by elementary students at the site weren't damaged.

A notice posted on the Colonial Beach Public Schools website says classes for elementary students will be canceled Monday because of the fire.
