William & Mary Professor Guilty of Child Porn Production

October 19, 2010

A former College of William & Mary professor faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to a child pornography charge.

U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride says 34-year-old Justin Bradley May of Williamsburg pleaded guilty Monday to production of child pornography.

MacBride says May manipulated a 13-year-old Ohio girl in April into sending him sexually explicit photographs of herself.

May was a professor in William & Mary's Department of Economics. According to the indictment, he used the school's network to send e-mails to the girl.
