The prices at gas pumps in Virginia have fallen by an average of seven cents per gallon since September.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports that the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Virginia was $3.17 Tuesday. That's down from $3.24 a month ago.
Virginians are paying 17 cents less than the national average.
Officials say prices are expected to continue to decline due to sufficient supplies, more affordable winter-blend gasoline and lower crude oil prices.
