Glitch Prevents Va. Voters from Accessing Information Online

October 13, 2010

The Virginia State Board of Elections says security wasn't affected by a glitch that prevented people from checking their voter registration information online.

Board spokeswoman Susan Pollard told "The Virginian-Pilot" that the information was in a database. But Tuesday's glitch prevented people from seeing a "snapshot" of it.

Pollard says there was no security breach.

She says anyone who had problems can call their local voter registrar's office or the state board.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 2 election was Tuesday.
