Millions of dollars in road improvements are coming to the Commonwealth.
On Friday, Governor Bob McDonnell announced a plan to spend nearly $155 million on transportation projects.
Albemarle County will receive a total of $1,110,000, which will be used for putting in new sidewalks, as well as traffic services on Route 29 North.
Charlottesville will get more than $154,000 for citywide bridge maintenance, while $275,000 will be used to improve intersections on James Madison Highway in Fluvanna County.
