Land Along Va. River Added to Protected Reserve

February 9, 2011

Two tracts totaling more than 68 acres along the Clinch River are being added to the Pinnacle Natural Area Reserve.

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation plans to acquire the property from The Nature Conservancy.

The Nature Conservancy and the department say protecting the property from development will reduce sedimentation in the Clinch River.
