NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - A commission reviewing military compensation and retirement programs is holding a public hearing in Norfolk next week.
The hearing is set for Monday and Tuesday at the Waterside Marriott.
The Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission will make recommendations for modernizing the programs to President Barack Obama and Congress in the spring of 2014.
The commission says in a news release that the compensation programs are key to recruiting and retaining military members.
