Mining Equipment Firm to Create 50 Jobs in Va.

A manufacturer of mining machinery and equipment plans to open a facility in Bland County, creating 50 jobs.

Governor Bob McDonnell announced Thursday that W&B Fabricators Inc. will invest $3.1 million in the operation.

The company provides services to major coal operators throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

McDonnell approved a $100,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund for the project. The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission also approved $100,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds.
