Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's office will host a training session for law enforcement officers in Newport News to target gangs.
The training session will be on Monday and is the third in a series of five taking place across the state.
Topics of the training include how gangs target kids, human trafficking and how gangs use social networking.
The attorney general's office has partnered with the Department of Criminal Justice Services and the Virginia Gang Investigators Association to train more than 500 members of law enforcement and the community through the free, daylong trainings.
Cuccinelli will appear in a prepared video message at the beginning of the training, but will not be in attendance.
