One iconic Virginia landmark could one day be a national park.
The National Park Service says it will study the possibility of turning the Natural Bridge into a national park.
Representative Bob Goodlatte requested the study earlier this week, suggesting private funds be used and a conservation easement be placed on the property.
The Park Service will study the property, but no timeline has been given on that process.
The privately-owned, 215-foot high limestone arch was put up for sale.
