The Department of Health Professions (DHP) launched a new resource page on Friday to help veterans, active duty service members and their spouses.
DHP's Military Credentialing Assistance webpage provides information on licensure and credentialing requirements for those in uniform, as well as those transitioning to Virginia's civilian healthcare system.
“This website is another step towards supporting those serving in our military by providing them with important resources” said Governor Bob McDonnell. "Designed to connect military personnel and their families to opportunities in the civilian sector, the new webpage provides a full list of professions regulated by the Department of Health Professions, along with a reference of the statutory and regulatory requirements for initial licensure and relevant statues for deployed active duty military personnel and their spouses.”
The webpage can be found at http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/About/MilitaryCredentialing.htm.
