Over 100 Cases of the Mumps in Va.

Over a hundred cases of the mumps have recently been reported in Virginia, with additional cases possible.

This contagious viral infection can include a fever, head and muscle aches, and swelling.

If you develop any of those symptoms, you are encouraged to stay home and avoid close contact with others.

Precautions can be taken by washing your hands, covering your mouth when you cough, and not sharing cups or eating utensils.
