Virginia officials say more arrests are pending after aerial drug busts led to the confiscation of more than 700 marijuana plants.
The busts in Westmoreland County by the Tri-County Task Force were conducted last week using a National Guard helicopter.
Westmoreland Sheriff C.O. Balderson told The Free Lance-Star that the street value of the confiscated plants is nearly $2 million.
Officials say about 365 marijuana plants were found growing near Montross Middle School during one aerial search.
Donald Henderson, 54, of Montross was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture. He was being held at Northern Neck Regional Jail without bond.
Additional plants were found in Montross, Zacata and Kinsale.
