Record High Year for Gun Sales in Va.

Virginia gun sales increased by nearly 11 percent and reached an all-time high in 2013.

State Police logged background checks for nearly 480,000 gun transactions last year, topping the old record of a little more than 432,000 set in 2012.

Transactions were up 115.8 percent in January, 38.5 percent for February, 41 percent in March and 28.4 percent in April.
