Senate Committee Ignores ABC Privatization Bill

One of the issues Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell talked the most about getting done will not happen this year in the General Assembly.

Sen. Mark Obenshain says the plan to privatize the state's ABC liquor stores was ignored by a Senate committee. Obenshain sponsored the bill, and criticized the committee members for not putting the bill on their agenda.

One of the major proposals in the governor's Government Reform Commission was to privatize ABC stores.
