Stanley Furniture Co. is moving its headquarters from Virginia to North Carolina.
Consolidation of the company's Stanleytown operation with its office and showroom in High Point, N.C., is expected to be completed in early 2013.
Stanley will receive $751,000 in incentives to make the move. Human resources director Christy Landon tells the Martinsville Bulletin (http://bit.ly/HKkZLz) that the incentives include $335,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.
Landon says the company hasn't determined how many employees might transfer from Stanleytown to High Point. The Stanleytown office has 45 workers.
Warehouses in Stanleytown and an industrial park in Henry County aren't affected by the consolidation.
Stanley also plans to open a showroom in Las Vegas, in partnership with International Market Centers.
