FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police are identifying a teenager who was killed in a crash that began with a police chase in Fairfax.

Police say 14-year-old Marquette Bell of Washington died in the crash Saturday. Police say Bell was a passenger in a car that was speeding away from a state trooper.

Police say a trooper saw a Honda Accord driving erratically early Saturday morning. When the trooper tried to stop the vehicle, the driver sped off. Police say the Honda then ran a red light in Fairfax and struck a Toyota Camry.

The 15-year-old male driver of the Honda fled on foot but was apprehended. He is being charged with involuntary manslaughter and other offenses.

The driver of the Toyota, Yassin A. Fereva of Fairfax, was treated at a hospital.
